Under the able guidance of the Honourable Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, the Sidhwan Group of Institutions successfully organized its 66th Annual Sports Meet on 10th February 2026.The event was graced by the Chief Guest, S. Harpreet Singh Sudan (IAS), Director of Sports, Government of Punjab, and Guest of Honour, Dr. Rakesh Malik, Director, Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The occasion was further marked by the esteemed presence of S. Pritam Singh Johal (Secretary), Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal (Manager), Dr. Harmail Singh Sidhu (Member), and S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon (Member).The ceremony featured flag hoisting escorted by the NCC Wing, torch lighting, an impressive March Past, and the release of balloons and pigeons. More than one thousand students from sister institutions participated enthusiastically. Cultural performances and the presentation of the Annual Sports Report added vibrancy to the occasion. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and distributed prizes.The Principals of the sister institutions—Dr. Satinder Kaur (Principal, Khalsa College for Women), Dr. Amandeep Kaur (Principal, GHG Harparkash College of Education), Dr. Shweta Dhand (Principal, G.H.G. Institute of Law), Dr. G. Pavan Kumar (Principal, GHG Institute of Pharmacy), Mrs. Daljit Kaur (Principal, Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School), and Ms. Sandeep Kaur (Principal, GHG Public Senior Secondary School)—congratulated the staff members for their tireless day-and-night efforts in making the event a grand success.Around 100 students from GHG Institute of Law participated. Prerna Khosla, Keshav Jain, and Malika Bhardwaj were honoured as Best Athletes and Best Drummer. The GHG Institute of Law also felicitated its faculty coordinators with Awards of Appreciation for their dedicated contributionThe event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the grand success of the Sports Meet.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
