Report of 7 day (Valedictory Session) of NSS 7 Days Special Camp

The NSS Unit of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd successfully organized a 7-Day Special NSS Camp from 29 January 2026 to 5 February 2026 under the able guidance of the Management of the Institute and the Officiating Principal, Prof. Dr. Shweta Dhand. The camp was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Programme Officer, NSS, and Dr. Neelam Rani, College In-charge, NSS.

The valedictory session of the camp was organized with great enthusiasm and dignity. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Parveen Goyal, Coordinator, NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, along with Dr. Sonia Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The occasion was further honored by the presence of Secretary S. Pritam Singh Johal, Dr. Harmail Singh, Member of the Management, and the Principals of sister institutions.

The programme commenced with the pinning of NSS badges, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the Panjab University Anthem. Prof. Dr. Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal, welcomed the distinguished guests and appreciated the efforts of the NSS team and volunteers.

A PowerPoint presentation highlighting the activities of the 7-day NSS camp was presented, reflecting the dedication, discipline, and social commitment of the volunteers. The presentation was accompanied by the NSS Lakshya Song, which motivated and inspired the audience.

The cultural programme presented by the NSS volunteers included poem recitation, group dance, and a Nukkad Natak on the theme “Viksit Bharat, Nasha Mukt Samaj”. The performances created a strong impact and effectively conveyed the message of social awareness and social responsibility.

During the award ceremony, Prof. Parveen Goyal distributed prizes, medals, and certificates to the NSS volunteers who performed exceptionally well during the camp. Dakshita Ballb, 10th Semester, was awarded the Best NSS Volunteer Trophy for her outstanding contribution. She also received the NSS Badge of Panjab University, Chandigarh from Prof. Parveen Goyal, which was a proud moment for the institute.

In his address, Prof. Parveen Goyal shared his valuable experiences and views on the role of NSS in shaping responsible and socially aware citizens. He emphasized the importance of discipline, leadership, and service to society. It was a moment of great pride for the institution when he announced that, due to his sincere efforts, guidance, and continuous support, the NSS Unit of G.H.G. Institute of Law had been granted a Regular NSS Unit by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh, in recognition of the institute’s active involvement and successfully conducted NSS activities.

Dr. Sonia Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, addressed the volunteers and highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and enthusiasm in NSS activities. She demonstrated the NSS Clap and explained its rhythm as a symbol of coordination and collective spirit. She also appreciated the dedication and sincerity shown by the NSS volunteers throughout the camp and encouraged them to continue serving society with commitment.

Prof. Parveen Goyal also presented Awards of Appreciation to Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Programme Officer, NSS, and Dr. Neelam Rani, College In-charge, NSS, in recognition of their constant supervision, guidance, and efforts throughout the 7-day NSS camp.

To conclude the programme, Secretary S. Pritam Singh Johal delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests, management, faculty members, NSS officers, and volunteers for their support and cooperation.

The 7-Day NSS Special Camp concluded with great zeal and a strong sense of social responsibility, and the final day of the camp was respectfully concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
