On the 6th day of the 7-Day NSS Camp, the NSS Unit of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd* organized an educational visit to Jang-e-Azadi Memorial, Jalandhar. The visit was planned with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of India’s freedom struggle and inculcating values of patriotism, unity, and national responsibility among the NSS volunteers.The activity was conducted under the able guidance of Officiating Principal Prof. Dr. Shweta Dhand and under the leadership of Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Programme Officer, NSS, along with Dr. Neelam Rani, College In-Charge, NSS. The NSS volunteers participated in the visit with great enthusiasm, discipline, and curiosity.During the visit, the students explored various galleries and exhibits showcasing the sacrifices of freedom fighters and highlighting the significant role played by Punjab in India’s independence movement. The statues, murals, and audio-visual presentations at the memorial left a deep and lasting impression on the volunteers, helping them appreciate the values of freedom, sacrifice, and national unity.The visit proved to be both informative and inspirational. It encouraged the students to respect the nation’s rich heritage and motivated them to work selflessly for the betterment of society, in true spirit of the NSS motto “Not Me, But You.” The 6th day of the NSS Camp concluded successfully with valuable learning experiences and cherished memories for all the participants.
