G.H.G INSTITUTE OF LAW SIDHWAN KHURD LUDHIANA Report on NSS, REPORT OF 5TH DAYDate: 3rd February 2026
The NSS Unit of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd organized a community service visit to Manukhta Di Sewa Society, a renowned NGO working for community service, located at Hasanpur, District Ludhiana, on 3rd February 2026. The visit was conducted as part of the NSS Seven Days Special Camp with the objective of promoting social awareness, empathy, and a spirit of selfless service among NSS volunteers.The programme was organized under the able guidance of the Officiating Principal, Prof. Dr. Shweta Dhand, and under the constant supervision and motivation of Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Programme Officer (NSS), along with Dr. Neelam Rani, College In-Charge, NSS. Their guidance and leadership ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the activity.During the visit, NSS volunteers organized a donation drive to support the humanitarian activities of Manukhta Di Sewa Society. The volunteers donated essential items including eatables, (biscuits, packaged snacks (Lays), notebooks, and fresh fruits. Along with material support, a sum of ₹11,100/- (Rupees Eleven Thousand One Hundred only) was donated as financial assistance to aid the ongoing welfare initiatives of the NGO.The volunteers actively engaged with the members and beneficiaries of the society, gaining valuable insights into the functioning of non-governmental organizations and the importance of community service. The interaction helped the volunteers develop a deeper understanding of social issues and strengthened their commitment towards social welfare.The NSS Unit expressed sincere gratitude to Manukhta Di Sewa Society for providing the opportunity to contribute towards their noble cause. The programme concluded on a positive note, with volunteers reaffirming their dedication to the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.”The visit proved to be highly enriching and impactful, leaving a lasting impression on the volunteers and reinforcing the values of compassion, cooperation, and social responsibility.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
