To mark the 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a National Seminar was jointly organized on 3rd December 2025 by the Sidhwan Group of Institutions. These included Khalsa College for Women, GHG Harprakash College of Education for Women, GHG Institute of Law, GHG Institute of Pharmacy, Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School, and GHG Senior Secondary Public School. All these institutions function under the aegis of SGHGU Hari Trust, led by Hon’ble President S. Kripal Singh Bhattal, Secretary S. Pritam Singh Johal, Manager Dr. G.S. Grewal, and esteemed Trust Members S. Harmail Singh Sidhu, S. B.S. Sidhu, S. Devinder Singh Maan, and S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon.
The seminar was graced by Shri Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the BJP, as the Chief Guest, and Padma Shri Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, along with S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairperson, National Commission for Minorities, as the Special Guests. The esteemed trustees formally welcomed the guests with saplings. On this occasion, floral tributes were offered to the founders of Sidhwan Group of Institutions. The seminar commenced with the recitation of sacred Shabad.
On this occasion, Iqbal Singh, President of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Punjab; Dr. Mukesh Kumar Arora, former Senator; Principal Sandeep Singh Kataria; Dr. Rachna Sharma; Dr. Vinay Sofat; Dr. Priyadarshini; Dev Kirandeep Singh, District BJP President; Kirandeep Singh; and Principal DSP Kulwant Singh were especially present.
Principals of Sidhwan institutions including Dr. Satinder Kaur (Khalsa College for Women), Dr. Amandeep Kaur (Bibi Harprakash College of Education for Women), Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand (GHG Institute of Law), Dr. G. Pawan Kumar (GHG Institute of Pharmacy), Mrs. Daljit Kaur (Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School), and Ms. Sandeep Kaur (GHG Senior Secondary Public School) were also present.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
