Founders day was celebrated at Sidhwan Group of Institutions to pay homage to the revered Founders' Bhai Sahib Bhai Narain Singh Ji, Bibi Ram Kaur Ji , Padamshree Bibi Harparkash Kaur Ji and Bibi Atar Kaur Ji. The congregation assembled at the campus gurudwara. Bhog ceremony of Shri Sehaj Path followed by recital of Shabad Kirtan was performed to commemorate the contribution of the legendary donors. The recital of holy Anand Sahib and Ardaas were conducted.
The further programme was held at Guru Nanak Bhawan. S. Harmail Singh Sidhu senior member of the Management acquainted the audience with the illustrious history of SGHGU Hari Trust and the sacrifices of Bhai Sahib and his family.
S. Pritam Singh Johal said that we are celebrating the of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's family and Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's 350th martyrdom anniversary. We should take inspiration from our rich heritage and try to emulate the noble principles given to us by the Founders.
S. Devinder Singh Mann, member of the Trust exhorted everyone to preserve the Golden legacy of the Banis. Founders Day scholarships were awarded to students excelling in various fields. Students, faculty, Management and the Principals of all the schools and colleges under the aegis of SGHGU Hari Trust participated in the event to pay respects to the holy memory of the Founders.
Former Principal of the college, Dr. Rajwinder Kaur Hundal graced the occasion and donated 1.5 lacs to Khalsa College for Women Sidhwan Khurd. Everyone partook Langar.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
