Our institute has a very good modern academic library with a collection of more than 4500 books, e-book, journals, online subscribed journals, magazines, newspaper and reference books of law and other general subjects. Library subscribes e-resources like NLIST, Live Law, NDLI, SCC Online. Books are classified according to DDC 19th edition. The library is well-equipped with the latest issues of various Law journals, digests and periodicals along with journals of general subjects. Book Bank in functioning in our college library which provides service to needy and meritorious. The Book Bank has a separate collection of 335 books other than the library books.
In the modern technology driven world, we undertake it as our responsibility to equip our students with adequate computer knowledge. The students are acquainted with application of latest technology in law. Students use the computers to search for new updates in the field of law for the preparation of different competitions, moot courts, projects and assignments.
Moot court activities are a thrust area of any law institute. Special emphasis and attention is paid by the faculty to ensure the participation of the students in inter-college, state as well as National and International level Moot Court competitions. Apart from it every semester inter class moot court competitions are also conducted to develop the practical knowledge and speaking skills of the students.
The institute has a big fully AC seminar hall with capacity of 300 persons to organise seminar/Conference, workshops, symposium, FDP’s etc. Moreover, the hall is equipped with excellent furniture, a large stage, green room and washroom facilities
A smart classroom is an upgraded classroom that enhances the teaching and learning process for both the teachers and the students by inculcating audio, video, animations, images, multimedia etc. The main highlight of the Smart class room of the
institute is an Interactive Flat Panel. Interactive flat panels is a step beyond interactive whiteboards, large-format touch screen display ideal for education, meeting rooms and collaborative spaces.
There is a Gurudwara Sahib in the main campus to inculcate moral values among students and to connect them to religion and heritage values. Gurpurabs are celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. Every year we inaugurate our session with the blessings of the almighty i.e. with the Paath of Sukhmani Sahib Ji.
The Punjab National Bank is functioning in the campus. This bank provides all facilities to college staff as well as to students for salary, fees depositing etc.
The campus is fully Wi-fi with open access and for security purpose their is 24×7 CCTV surveillance.
The institute provides hostel facilities to outstation girl students. The rooms are large, ventilated and well equipped with required furnitures. Both Air Conditioned, & Desert Cooler rooms are available to the students according to their own choice at very nominal rate. Hostel provides friendly and homely atmosphere. Hostel has a common room with availability of colored T.V. and indoor games facilities etc. Hostel Mess facility is also available for the students.
Cafeteria is available in the campus. Students spend quality time in the break to enjoy different eatables. Every day different eatable items are served to the students. A CCTV camera is also installed to keep a watch on the activities of the students in the cafeteria. Proper sitting arrangement is also available in the cafeteria.
Sidhwan Group of Educational Institution have its own fleet of buses. Buses are available for the students from the different routes i.e Ludhiana. Mullanpur, Jagraon and adjacent villages.
Quick medical facilities with first Aid Box is available for both the staff and the students. The ailing students can get them checked by the resident doctor and get prescribed medicines. A dispensary under the Mata Ram Kaur Ji Charitable Hospital is established, having well qualified Doctor and other staff. Free ambulance facility is also available to carry the patients to the dispensary and nearby hospital.
Tutorial groups are constituted with mentor mentee ratio of 1:15. The tutorial classes are held once in a week in order to nurture relationship between teacher and students doubt clearance, and also in order to solve grievances of students.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
