Recognizing the importance of fire safety knowledge, G.H.G Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd organized a comprehensive Fire Safety Awareness Program for its students on 01-06-2026. The program aimed to equip the students, teachers and other staff members with the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent fire hazards and respond effectively in case of emergencies.The Workshop was conducted under the guidance of Off. Principal Dr.Shweta Dhand in which Fire Safety expert from Ludhiana threw light on the different kinds of fires and delivered information on various aspects of fire safety covering common causes of fire outbreaks and highlighted preventative measures such as proper electrical wiring maintenance, safe handling of flammable materials, and regular fire extinguisher checks.Students and faculty members received information on the proper use of different types of fire extinguishers along with valuable knowledge and practical skills to Identify and mitigate potential fire hazards, Operate fire extinguishers safely and effectively and raise awareness about fire safety in the community.In the end a live demonstration on the use of Fire extinguisher was also conducted in which both teachers, students and other staff members participated with full zeal. The Fire Safety Awareness Workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience to the students with essential life skills and fostering a culture of safety and preparedness.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
