An array of activities including the ‘ *Adopt a Plant’ Campaign, Nature Photography Contest, and Poster Making Competition* were successfully organized by the Day Celebration Committee and NSS Unit, in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ludhiana, on 22nd April 2026 to mark the celebration of Earth Day. The events were conducted under the aegis of SGHG Ujagar Hari Trust and under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal.The ‘ *Adopt a Plant’ Campaign* aimed at encouraging students to take responsibility for nurturing plants and promoting environmental consciousness. Students actively participated by adopting saplings and pledging to care for them, thereby contributing towards a greener and healthier environment. *The Nature Photography Contest* provided a creative platform for students to capture the beauty of nature and highlight environmental concerns through their lenses. The entries reflected originality, aesthetic sense, and awareness regarding ecological preservation. *The Poster Making Competition* witnessed enthusiastic participation, where students expressed their ideas on environmental protection, sustainability, and conservation through artistic presentations. The posters effectively conveyed strong messages on saving the Earth and protecting natural resources.All the events received an overwhelming response from the students. The initiatives not only enhanced creativity but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards environmental protection among the participants.Dr. Shweta Dhand appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged them to continue contributing towards environmental sustainability.

The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
