G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd organized various activities to promote environmental awareness and community service among students.An activity to paint benches and flower pots was conducted on 20 February 2026 within the institute premises. Students actively participated in this creative task, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the campus while promoting the message of environmental care and responsibility.Subsequently, on 30 March 2026, an environmental awareness drive comprising a Rally, distribution of biodegradable Dustbins and Plants was organized in Village Sidhwan Khurd. The programme aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and encourage sustainable practices among the local community.

The event was organized under the aegis of the management and the guidance of Officiating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand. The programme was conducted under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Dr. Jaspal Kaur, along with NSS College Incharge Dr. Neelam Rani.

Students participated enthusiastically in the rally and raised impactful slogans such as:* “Aao mil ke rukh lgaiye, vatavaran nu saaf bnaiye”* “Use dustbin, keep your surroundings clean”* “Clean village, green village”* “Say no to littering, say yes to cleanliness”During the drive, dustbins were distributed among villagers to encourage proper waste disposal practices. Saplings were also distributed to villagers to promote greenery and environmental sustainability.

Furthermore, plants and dustbins were distributed and installed at important community locations, including the Primary School and Panchayat Ghar. In addition, special efforts were made to serve plants and dustbins at the Gurudwara Sahib to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility in this sacred space.The programme successfully created awareness among the local community and encouraged students to actively contribute toward environmental conservation.Overall, the activities conducted under EEP proved to be a meaningful step toward fostering environmental responsibility, creativity, and community engagement among students as well as villagers.
