G. H.G. Institute of Law for Women, Sidhwan Khurd which is running under the aegis of SGHG Ujagar Hari Trust and is approved by Bar Council of India, affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and accredited under NAAC has organized a Webinar on "Career Opportunities After Law" on18th July 2022.
This webinar was organized by IQAC and IIC of the institute in collaboration with Divine Institute for Judicial Services, Chandigarh.
This webinar was conducted under the able guidance of S. Birinder Singh Sidhu DGP (Retd.), Secretary, Manager and other worthy Trust members and
Director Dr. S.K. Nayak and Officiating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand.
Dr. Kanupriya Grewal BA (Hons.), LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D. (Constitutional Law) was the keynote speaker of the event .
This webinar was specially conducted for final year Law students to help and guide them for their future career opportunities. Dr. Kanupriya in her lecture said that legal profession in India has undergone many changes over the years. Lawyers are no longer confined to courtrooms. She gave a message to the students that law is a very noble profession and students should join this profession.
She has provided immense information to the students about the availability of career opportunities after studying law. While discussing in detail various career opportunities in the field of law, Dr. Kanupriya shed light on the qualification criteria and qualifications, process and various aspects of teaching in the field of law and other fields related to law, along with making a career in the judiciary. She also informed the students that their future in the field of law is bright in the contemporary contexts.
Students should focus on their area of ??interest. She said that legal graduates today are involved in variety of jobs like corporations, IT firms, administrative services, banking sector, teaching, law firms and corporate houses etc. So they can now pursue careers as litigation, corporate, or commercial lawyers, judges, and patent attorneys etc.
The Webinar ended up with a vote of thanks by the Offciating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand to the keynote speaker for her enlightening and scholarly lecture to guide the students in choosing their career in the field of law.
