The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell for the quality assurance & improvement in Teaching-Learning process in July, 2017. The IQAC through its proactive initiatives indetifies the key strategic areas of focus through the development and monitoring the parameters for excellence in quality. The IQAC aims to engage student representatives in its composition to facilitate direct inclusion of the student community in the broad policy framework of the college
G. H. G. Institute of Law is committed to create a high-quality research ambiance in the Institute for the faculty and students. The institute aims to provide a research environment that will promote a culture of high-quality research, which is ethical, competent, accountable, and safe. The Research & Development Cell in the Institute addresses specific aspects of conducting Research & Development activities within the college in compliance with the Panjab University, Chandigarh regulations on Research.
To make the academic environment more healthy, Students Grievance Redressal Cell is established. An immediate disciplinary action is taken on the suggestions/complaints by the students. For this purpose a suggestion box is also set up outside the Principal’s office.
A committee against sexual harassment has been constituted to deal with issues related to sexual harassment at workspace and ensure safe environment for female students and staff members
Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus. Immediate disciplinary action will be taken against the rule breakers according to the order of Honourable Supreme Court of India. To curb the menace of ragging in the institution, Anti-Ragging Committee is also constituted. By doing so the institute ensures cohesive and harmonious environment for its students.
Under the able guidance of the Principal of the institute an Alumni Association is registered under the name of “ G.H.G. Institute of Law Alumni Association“ (Regd. LDH.OL00344 of 2020-21) . To remember the golden days, Alumni are invited once to campus annually. Students of the institute organise various entertainment and cultural program for the entertainment of the Alumni.
“NOT ME BUT YOU”- GHG Institute of Law has a self-financed NSS Unit from the session 2021-22. All the student volunteers are doing selfless service for the community by doing activities of NSS under the guidance of NSS Program officer Ms. Jaspal Kaur, Assistant Professor in Laws.’A’,’B’,’C’ certificates will be given to the eligible NSS volunteers on completion of 120 hours, 240 hours and 360 hours respectively of NSS work under regular activity.
Legal aid Clinic and Legal Literacy Club is committed to educate its students and other citizens about their legal rights. Various activities are carried out to spread awareness about legal rights and free legal services in collaboration with DLSA (District Legal Services Authority), Ludhiana. Our students perform many activities to fulfil the objectives of Legal Aid Clinic and Legal literacy Club
To inculcate creative writing amongst students, the college publishes the college magazine ‘Intellect Upsurge’. It comprises of sections where one finds articles on various subjects and interest. The college magazine committee invites writing from the students and teachers. The editorial board selects the qualified ones for the printing. This magazine gives a view of the life of college and reveals the creative minds of the students. It also reflects the academic and co-curricular of college.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
