The Preliminary round of 2nd Padma Shri Bibi Harparkash Kaur Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026 (National Round) was held on 28.2.26 at G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd which functions under Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd.The event was conducted under the able leadership of the Hon’ble President of the Trust, S. Kripal Singh Bhathal; Secretary S. Pritam Singh Johal, PCS ADCG (Retd.); Manager Dr. G.S. Grewal; members S. Birinder Singh Sidhu, Dr. Harmail Singh Sidhu, S. Devinder Singh Mann, S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon; and Principal Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand.
In this event, 34 teams comprising 102 participants from various state and national universities, as well as recognized reputed institutions across the country, took part. Out of these, 12 teams will advance to the semi-finals and 4 teams to the final round, which will be held on 1st March, 2026. The event started with an inaugural session addressed by Prof.(Dr.) Jai Shankar Singh Hon’able Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala. According to him, the Moot Court Competition serves as a platform for law students to demonstrate their legal knowledge and courtroom skills.Hon’ble

On the first day of the event, the Preliminary round was adjudged by Dr. Ishita, Adv Vishal Tiwari, Dr. Divya Khurana, Adv Harsh Joshi, Dr. Sangeeta Taak, Adv Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Neeru Mittal, Adv Amandeep Singh, Dr. Jaswinder, Adv Gurpreet Mahendru, Dr. Inderjot Kaur Sidhu, Adv Harsimran Malwa, Prof. (Dr.) Jasdeep Kaur, Adv Abhay Jindal, Dr. Seema Rani, Adv K.M. Sethi, Dr. Manavpreet Kaur Dhindsa and Adv Paramdeep Singh Thind.Principal Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand expressed her gratitude to all guests, members of the management committee, participants, faculty members, and students. A cultural program by the college students was also performed.The semi-final and final round of the competition will be held on 1.3.26
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
