The 556th Paavan Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with devotion and grace at the Sidhwan Group of Institutions, Sidhwan Khurd, under the Shri Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, on November 8, 2025. The programme began with the Bhog of Sehaj Path, followed by soulful Shabad Kirtan by students and the Gurmat Gyaan Class, Nagar Mandiaani. Kavishries and spiritual discourses by students and faculty highlighted the universal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The event was organized under the visionary guidance of the Hon’ble SGHGU Hari Trust, with the esteemed leadership of S. Kirpal Singh Bhattal (President), S. Pritam Singh Johal (Secretary), Dr. G.S. Grewal (Manager), S. B.S. Sidhu (Member), S. Harmail Singh Sidhu, S. Devinder Singh Mann, and S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon.Secretary S. Pritam Singh Johal shared inspiring reflections on educational values, while Dr. G. S. Grewal appreciated the collective efforts of the Institute.
Principals of sister institutions also marked their esteemed presence, including Dr. Amandeep Kaur (G.H.G. Harparkash College of Education for Women), Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand (G.H.G. Institute of Law), Mrs. Daljit Kaur (Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School), Dr. Satinder Kaur (Khalsa College for Women), Ms. Sandeep Kaur (G.H.G. Public School), and Dr. G. Pavan Kumar (G.H.G. Institute of Pharmacy).
The ceremony concluded with Ardas and Guru Ka Langar, embraced by all with devotion, reflecting the spirit of Seva, equality, and universal brotherhood. The celebration beautifully echoed Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s eternal message: Naam Japo, Kirat Karo, Vand Chhako.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
