Under the patronage of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, (President), Pritam Singh Johal, (Secretary), S. Gurinder Singh Grewal, (Manager) of SGHG Ujagar Hari Trust and esteemed guidance of Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal),
G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana organized a one-day educational trip to the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, on 21st April 2025. Four Faculty Incharges and 45 students from B.A.LL.B (Hons.) and LL.B Courses have visited the High Court.
During the visit, students observed live court proceedings in various courtrooms and gained first-hand knowledge about court decorum, legal arguments, case hearings, and procedural aspects. The trip also included an informative interaction with practicing advocates and legal officers who shared valuable insights into the workings of the judiciary and the legal profession.
A special highlight of the visit was the interactive session with Mr. Gagandeep Singh Jammu, Secretary of the Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High Court, who warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of dedication, ethical practice, and continuous learning in the legal field. The President encouraged students to remain updated with current legal developments and inspired them to contribute meaningfully to the justice delivery system.
The students also visited the High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, where they were briefed about the concept of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and the pivotal role mediation plays in reducing the burden on the judiciary.
The trip was meticulously planned and executed under the dedicated supervision of faculty in-charges Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Dr. Neelam Rani, Dr. Jasbir Kaur, and Ms. Neha Minocha, whose guidance and coordination ensured a smooth and enriching experience for all participants.

The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
