Under the able guidance of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust, the Sidhwan Group of Institutions celebrated the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 22, 2025. The event was filled with devotion, enthusiasm and a series of religious and cultural activities that paid homage to the life and teachings of the revered Guru.
The program commenced with the Bhog ceremony of the Sehaj Path followed by soulful Shabad Kirtan and Kavishri performed by students and staff. Several students and faculty members delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on the Guru’s unparalleled sacrifices and inspiring legacy. Dr. Harmail Singh, an honorable member of the trust, attended the Gurpurab event with his esteemed presence.The event was graced the occasion with his benign presence . At this occassion Dr. Satinder Kaur, Principal of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd; Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal of GHG Harparkash College of Education; Dr. Shweta Dhand, Principal of GHG Institute of Law; Dr. Jaswinder, Vice Principal of GHG Institute Of Law; Mrs. Daljit Kaur, Principal of Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School, Sidhwan Khurd and Dr. Puneeta Sharma, Principal of GHG Public School, Sidhwan Khurd, Dr. G. Pavan Kumar were present.Their presence demonstrated the collective commitment to education, leadership, and community service.
The students demonstrated the principles of Guru Gobind Singh Ji by reciting shabads,poems and speeches. The sangat were urged to follow the path of Guru and teachings who dedicated his life against the social, political evils, religious injustice and exploitation prevalent in the society..
The stage was co-ordinated by Dr. Jagminder Kaur. At the end of the occasion, Langar was served to all, exemplifying the Guru’s principles of seva (selfless service) and humility.
The foundation stone of the college was laid down by Padam Bhushan Prof.(Dr.) Khem Singh Gill, former Vice Chancellor Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Nineteenth day of December, 2005. This institute is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
